For you Bass fishermen out there, anyone ever use one of these?

I wonder how Trout might react to a smaller version of this? Might just be different/weird enough to trigger a big Brown Trout strike.

That was fun to watch. And a lot to learn too. For example, how close to the bank those smallmouths were hanging and using the overhanging vegetation as cover, probably both from the sun and predators. It kind of reminded me of hopper fishing for browns.

I doubt those fish had ever seen anything resembling that spider lure before and yet they still hit enthusiastically. They (and larger browns too) are supposed to be more opportunistic than selective; the video supports that contention. Since watching the video earlier this morning, my pop-up ads from Dick's Sporting Goods now include the Spider. They don't waste any time, do they?

It's cool to see another person watching these videos, this guy and Wisconsin trout fishing are my top two fishing channels on YouTube. Im sure many trout would care about what hit the water above them as long as it looks slightly edible they would hit it.
