Hey guys! Can anybody give me an update on how NE Iowa streams are flowing? Decorah , West Union, Manchester ? I have tomorrow off and am itching to get out with the moderate temps. Just don't wanna drive up 3 hours to blown out streams . Thanks for any help!

Water levels are not good in several streams. This is a great reference https://waterdata.usgs.g.../nwis/current/?type=flow

Yesterday North Bear was blown out and unfishable. I met another angler who said that Coldwater was also too high and muddy to fish. I do not know about the other streams.

i was out yesterday morning on streams east of allamakee county. had to go small, but you could've fished middle portions of streams with a spinner or worms

kept a nice brown that jumped a half dozen times and fought harder than a 14" fish has any right to. he'd barrel down hard to try and get in a log jam the would run upstream and jump 2 feet in the air. luckily i didn't have my usual 2wt on me

flesh was about as bright orange as i've ever seen on a brown. cooked to just above rare.....mmmm taste better than salmon we can get around here. almost like a tuna steak

Hello, you said you were east of Allamakee county, were you in Wisconsin? I've had the best spring fishing this county catching browns up to 19 inches. A great place to fish!
