Hi all,

I am looking for some line to outfit my Cabelas CGR 3wt with. I plan on fishing nymphs and dries exclusively with this rod in relatively close quarter situations.

This is my first slow action rod I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations to help point me in the right direction. ThumpUp

Thanks in advance!

Take a look at the 406 fly lines. The DT lines work really well with glass rods. They roll cast well. One bonus: if you are on small streams and only using the first half of a DT line, when it needs to be replaced, you can turn it around and use the unused portion--two lines for the price of one!

Yup - this. Have it on my Diamondglass 3w and love it. Plus it's not outrageously expensive.

Cortland makes a line called Sylk, which was designed for traditional action bamboo rods and it is great stuff too. I'm hoarding a couple spools of it in 3W and 4W for a couple of my glass rods once my current line wears out.

I have a DT5 Sylk for one of my reels that won't fit a whole Peach DT5. Definitely good stuff.

Thanks all!

I ended up ordering some Peach DT. Looking forward to getting it and some fun on my new glass!
