That beaver pond is where I caught my tiger trout last year. I think that stream is one of the better ones in the state to catch them at least according to the DNR shock numbers.

After a PM from TreArrow, I thought today I must try for a beaver pond worm dunking tiger... (thanks again! if you come to Troutstock I owe you a beer ThumpUp)

Success on the first cast into the pond.

Found another, slightly smaller pond a bit upstream.

Again, first cast into the pond.

Rounded out the afternoon by finishing the wild trout trifecta. Nothing larger than 8" or so, but I did see a larger (12-14"?) tiger holding in the bottom of the pond...he spooked immediately. I'll be back for him.

And just for you, Skimmer:

Didn't see any ice cans, but I found my fishin chair, and most of a pickup truck scattered along the stream bed. (bench seats had washed up a few hundred yards downstream)

Got my first (and second) ever tiger, and got to explore some new water. Not bad for a 3 hour fishing trip after the rain stopped this afternoon ThumpUp

Everyone is clearly bitter towards Sheb's success. Nice work on your first two Tigers my man.

I am definitely bitter, but that is pretty sweet. That must have been really clear water for you to pick out the big tiger on the bottom.

I tried a spot with a bunch of beaver dams on Friday - I set up my lawn chair and my bucket, and put in a chew dog that was so big I physically couldn't close my mouth, but I didn't catch shit...what am I doing wrong?

I saw a tire in the water, so I thought for sure I was in the right spot...

You can't be THAT bitter, with all those pigs you've been catching Flapper

It was very clear, but also not terribly deep. The deepest part of that pond couldn't have been more than 2 feet deep with all the sediment. I fished a ways up for about ~45 minutes and came back, but those bastards were ultra spooky. I'm sure they could see me coming a mile away.
