Went to Minnehaha tonight. Some buddies told me the fishing has been good. In particular, dogfish. The goal was dogs and I got one but I also got a bonus cat too, caught at the mouth. Both hit a worm and although not the largest fish around it was fun. I also caught a couple of very big silver redhorse however had my fill on photos of horses. From the mouth on up any of the lack water you could see all of the fish just stacked up in there. A buddy caught a 44" muskie yesterday in the creek with a fly rod so I was throwing the 5" white twister tail with a 1/4 lead head with a spinner. Also there was a guy who was fly fishing sinking tip who caught a few walleye. A real metro gem if you ask me.

Notice the dog is a male. They get green fins, especially this time of year when they are mating.

Actually a number of small cats were caught by some other guys I shared the shore with. I gave them my cat but found out later that their "stringer" (a willow branch) swam away.

P.S. Len I used your big net!

I like the greenish tint to the dog's fins. Pretty cool.
"What do you want to fish for?"
"Trout."
"Why trout?"
"Because there's no better fish to chase!"

Doggers are badass fish. The pic of the big one off the cannon looks like a natural born killer.

The funny thing here in the Cannon River dogger is I have another photo with the fish showing another fisherman holding a black glove behind me. That was his catch for the day. Always makes me giggle when I see that photo. I'll have to find it.
