Hey everybody, I’m a long time fisherman and just getting into chasing trout over the last few years. When I found this forum a couple days ago I was happy to see a resource on trout that was accepting of spin fisherman. I’ve already put some of the info to practice and I’m beginning to understand not only what to do, but also why. I’m from the Onalaska area and I’ve spent most of my hours after trout on the bad axe river, but I’m always scouring google maps for any ditch that might be worth a cast.

Welcome, and yes, this web site is a fishing web site, not a fly fishing web site. I enjoy reading about the adventures of all fishers on this site, spin or fly.

I am a lifelong fisherman and resident of pierce county. I am a self taught trout fisherman, fell into it when I first got my drivers license fishing the snot out of the Rush and Trimbelle!

I fish primarily with spinning tackle, although I do fly fish, I’m just not very good at it!

I have never been trout fishing with another angler at the same time, I rather enjoy the quietness aspect of the sport, but I’m sure I’ve seen some of you on the banks.

Greetings all..."fresh fish" here. Enjoy the posts and insight, so wanted to join the forum. Live in SE Iowa and try to head north anytime I can. Have two boys that I know will appreciate the time we spend streamside. Bankston Browns has been my fantasy football name for 10+ years. :)
