Yes, Kevin loves them...and so do several other fly anglers I know, but I stick with the tried-and-proven nail knot. Personally, I don't like leader links because you get a hinge effect when you cast. A loop-to-loop connection also gives you something of the same hinge effect, but it's not as pronounced. But leader links are convenient and if they work for you, go for it!
