If you can put a dollar figure on sanity I'm probably money ahead on tying my own, especially after the last couple weeks. Had two weeks off, and every intention of fishing the year-round waters in MN, and it's sub-zero for days on end. First day back at work, and it's 31... Mad

Did fill a lot of boxes though.

Really though, tying is part of the sport I enjoy, and have since I was a kid.

Totally agree with moosekid on the razor blade. Sometimes you get done with a fly, and the only thing you can say is "well...that didn't work."

I have a coffee cup on my bench I call the "Bucket of Fail." Failed flies get tossed in there, and every so often I'll go through it. Some get added to the bluegill box I let my kids have free reign over, others get cut apart so hooks and beads can be recycled. The Bucket of Fail fills up a little more slowly all the time.
